Welcome to our online home for the City of Ulysses, Kansas. Ulysses is a beautiful growing community of over 6,000 residents located in the Southwest corner of Kansas, 40 miles from, both, the Colorado and Oklahoma borders.

Ulysses has a Mayor/City Council Government with an appointed Administrator. Together they are paving the way for the future of Ulysses. There are six elected members and a Mayor on the Council.

We take pride in our excellent City services, and in conjunction with the resources provided by Grant County, we offer a safe, fun and relaxing environment to grow a business, raise a family, or spend your golden years! Cold Weather Advisory:
A 'trickle' of water from your kitchen or bathroom faucet could help to avoid the freezing of water pipes during subzero temperatures.
WARNING!! DO NOT apply flames to frozen water pipes. DO NOT attempt to thaw the City water meter.
Call a plumber or use a hair dryer or electric heat tape and insulation on private lines. Call the City at 356-1271 or 356-4600 for water meter thawing. After hours, call the Law Enforcement Center at 356-3500.
